We want to hear their stories!
Those who lived through WWII, whether they fought overseas or sacrificed at home, have had an impact on future generations. The lessons learned and values forged helped to create what has been called the Greatest Generation. Their resolve and ingenuity laid the foundation for technical and medical advancements, policies that shape our government and educate our children.
It is one thing to read about history in a book, however, history comes alive when we hear the lived experiences of time through the stories of eyewitness to the major events of our time.
We want to hear your memories of WWII.
Did you serve as a soldier in WWII? Where did you serve and what was your most vivid memory?
Were you a Rosie the Riveter, entering into the factories, picking up the tools when men went off to war?
Did your family plant a Victory Garden?
How did rationing affect you and your family?
Did you meet General Patton or Bill Knudsen or any of the other giants of the day?
How did your family find joy and hope during the dark days of WWII?
If you have stories or photos that you would like to share with us, please fill out the form below. We want to hear from you!
Your stories and photos may be used on our Facebook page, Website, and research for our Education Coalition work. You will be helping us preserve our rich history through handing on the stories and experiences of WWII history.
