As we prepare to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII, comparisons are being made in newscasts between the current events of the COVID-19 pandemic and the turmoil of WWII. We are living in a time when nations are battling a common threat and people are coming together to overcome the challenges.
The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial has prepared short activities that connect events of WWII to current experiences. They are designed to help families explore the lessons of history with their children and how they inspire people today to respond in the tradition of our Greatest Generation.
